At the age of 6, I attended my first wedding as a lace clad bridesmaid, and loved it, I have been involved in family celebrations ever since. From lace to leopard print I have loved every minute. Indeed, arranging birthday 
tea parties, and singing at over 60 weddings with the choir at my local church and Wakefield Cathedral, as a youngster - to creating personal wedding and birth celebrations too, as I grew up.
But it was at my dad's funeral that I realised I could become a Professional Celebrant ( due to the loving and respectful service our Celebrant created and delivered for us) and help many more people celebrate their family events in a much more personal way, than the mainstream events available.
Previously, during my long and successful career I have travelled the world as a Corporate Business Development Trainer, and Event speaker, winning National Awards and meeting the most amazing people. So, it felt like a natural progression to diversify into the fabulous world of being a Professional Family Celebrant.
I have been personally involved in a multitude of events, for many people, all over the UK/Europe and I have even conducted my eldest daughter, my neices and my best friends wedding too. I can't wait to be a part of more loving events.
I have also helped welcome new babies into our growing and loving family and circle of friends lives too. I have created and conducted many fabulous weddings for new friends too, and especially love bringing symbolic elements into these celebrations. My favourite venues veer towards the quirky, so you may find me in a Tee Pee, or alongside a canal marina, ( as I own my own canal boat) or perhaps in a woodland setting or especially an historic mansion or hall, with fabulous gardens ...
I have also delivered many Funeral services, Eulogies and Life Celebrations at the funerals and memorials of many local people and of my beloved family members and friends. It's always hard to say goodbye, we do so with love and respect and a celebration of Life.
I have supported, and as a trained and accredited Grief Advisor, been able to help and also support the families of many of our lost loved ones. I continue to offer Life Celebration events too, enabling family and friends to truly be able to say goodbye and show their love and respect at memoriums too.
I know I will be a Celebrant now, for life, there is nothing else I would do that would replace
the rewarding and supportive role, being a Celebrant brings.
